Advanced Software Management can patch manage macOS applications on macOS devices Big Sur or higher.

  • Apps running on the macOS operating system can be patched. The macOS operating system is not patched at this time.
  • Patches that require the user to accept a EULA can’t be patched at this time.
Advanced Software Management and the macOS Prep Utility

Auto-application rules to include macOS devices in Advanced Software Management

To include macOS devices in Advanced Software Management, create an auto-application rule that includes:

  • OS Family Equals Mac OS

To include all macOS versions Big Sur and higher, after you add the rule above, create an auto-application rule that includes:

  • OS Version Equals 11.0.0
  • OS Version Greater Than 11.0.0
