Attention

Starting May 1st, 2018, we will no longer offer the ArchiveOne family of products. This includes all editions of ArchiveOne, ArchiveOne for Files, Max Compression, and Access Security Manager. If you currently hold a maintenance and support contract, you will continue to receive our award-winning support until your contract expires, or until May 1st, 2019, whichever occurs first. The license for ArchiveOne is perpetual; therefore the software may continue to be used independently without any updates or support indefinitely.

Index Location Page

The Index Location page displays in the Configuration Wizard, and allows you to configure the Index Base Directory, which is the base directory for the long term storage of the index. This enables fast search through all archived data:

The Index Location requires a large amounts of disk space. Refer to Repository Configuration and Sizing for more information.

When configuring a repository that uses CA BrightStor ARCserve Backup or HP Storage Data Protector, ensure that the path to the repository index is written as a reference to a local drive, not a UNC. Additionally, ensure that the path to the repository index does not make use of a mapped drive as the ArchiveOne Service does not see the same drive mappings as logged on users.
