Attention

Starting May 1st, 2018, we will no longer offer the ArchiveOne family of products. This includes all editions of ArchiveOne, ArchiveOne for Files, Max Compression, and Access Security Manager. If you currently hold a maintenance and support contract, you will continue to receive our award-winning support until your contract expires, or until May 1st, 2019, whichever occurs first. The license for ArchiveOne is perpetual; therefore the software may continue to be used independently without any updates or support indefinitely.

How to Run a Federated Search

  • Last updated on

ArchiveOne supports federated search – any system that supports the OpenSearch protocol, such as Microsoft Search Server 2008, can be used to search the ArchiveOne archive. For example, the URL format required to run a search for the word TEST, where servername is the name of the system running the Search and Retrieval Website, is: http://servername/AOneSearch/OpenSearch.aspx?q=TEST

Or you can use: http://servername/AOneSearch/OpenSearch.aspx?q=TEST&f=xml

Where the format f= can be xml or htm; the default is htm.

The required permissions are the same as those required to run a basic search with the Search and Retrieval Website.
