Attention

Starting May 1st, 2018, we will no longer offer the ArchiveOne family of products. This includes all editions of ArchiveOne, ArchiveOne for Files, Max Compression, and Access Security Manager. If you currently hold a maintenance and support contract, you will continue to receive our award-winning support until your contract expires, or until May 1st, 2019, whichever occurs first. The license for ArchiveOne is perpetual; therefore the software may continue to be used independently without any updates or support indefinitely.

How to Manually Update Repository Size

  • Last updated on

This article refers to the Barracuda ArchiveOne versions 5.8 and higher.

Use the following steps to update the repository metrics:

  1. On the configuration server, browse to \\Configuration_Server\Add-ins\AOnePol\Repositories where Configuration_Server is the name of the configuration server.
  2. Browse to the subfolder named for the repository you want to modify, for example, Year_2014.
  3. Open the file that includes the repository name in Notepad, for example, year_2014.c2c
  4. Locate the values Indexsize=XXXX and Size=XXXX

Indexsize is the size of the Index directory in bytes, and Size is the size of the Archived Data directory in bytes. You can check the size of the directories on disk in Explorer. If you do not know where the Archive data and Index folders are located on disk, locate the values DirForArchives=XXXX and DirForIndex=XXXX.

  5. Edit these values to correspond to the data size on disk.
  6. Save and close the file.
  7. Because repository configuration files are read only during startup, if the ArchiveOne Admin console is open, close and relaunch it.
  8. The new values should not display in the repository metrics.
