Attention

Starting May 1st, 2018, we will no longer offer the ArchiveOne family of products. This includes all editions of ArchiveOne, ArchiveOne for Files, Max Compression, and Access Security Manager. If you currently hold a maintenance and support contract, you will continue to receive our award-winning support until your contract expires, or until May 1st, 2019, whichever occurs first. The license for ArchiveOne is perpetual; therefore the software may continue to be used independently without any updates or support indefinitely.

How to Back Up the Mailbox Manager Database

  • Last updated on

The Mailbox Manager is stored in the AOneC2CConfig database in the named SQL instance for ArchiveOne. To back up the Mailbox Manager, take a backup copy of this SQL database. See the Microsoft article Create a Full Database Backup (SQL Server) for more information.

Legacy location

In earlier versions (version 6.6 and earlier) the Mailbox Manager is stored in an Access database. Copy the database to create a backup:

  1. Verify the ArchiveOne Admin console is closed.
  2. Open the Microsoft Services console (services.msc).
  3. Right-click and stop the service ArchiveOne Service.
  4. Browse to: \\Configuration_ServerName\Add-ins\AOnePol\ServerData, where Configuration_ServerName is the name of the server hosting the configuration data.
  5. Copy the file MailboxManager.mdb to a backup location, or paste it into the same folder and rename the copy accordingly.
  6. Restart the ArchiveOne Service via the Microsoft Services console.
