  • Date changed: 2 years ago

Solution #00007626
Scope: ArchiveOne Enterprise, v7.1.0.0 – 7.1.0.3299

Answer:

ArchiveOne v7.1.0.3300 and later builds introduce a new logging format. If a customer is already running an earlier build of v7.1.0, then can upgrade using the usual uninstall/reinstall process. However, if you simply want the new logging format without performing a full system upgrade then it is possible to perform an in-place upgrade of the new components required for logging as follows:

1.       Download NewLogging.zip which contains the required files from:https://cudadrive.com/9u8huvXgjCeieNA4

2.       On the Archive server, close the ArchiveOne Admin console and stop and disable all the ArchiveOne services.

3.       Rename the following existing version components to .OLD:

a.       In the installation directory (by default, C:\Program Files (x86)\Barracuda\ArchiveOne)

                                                              i.      AOnePolSnap.dll

                                                            ii.      AOnePolMonitor.exe

                                                          iii.      AOnePolService.exe

b.      In the PSTService subfolder of the installation directory (by default, C:\Program Files (x86)\Barracuda\ArchiveOne\PSTService)

                                                              i.      AOnePstService.exe

c.       In the JournalServer subfolder of the installation directory (by default, C:\Program Files (x86)\Barracuda\ArchiveOne\JournalServer)

                                                              i.      AOneJournalService.exe

d.      In the IndexOptimizer subfolder of the installation directory (by default, in C:\Program Files (x86)\Barracuda\ArchiveOne\IndexOptimizer)

                                                              i.      AOneReindexService.exe

e.      In the BMAServer subfolder of the installation directory (by default, in C:\Program Files (x86)\Barracuda\ArchiveOne\BMAServer)

                                                              i.      AOneBMAService.exe

4.       Extract the downloaded .zip and copy the entire contents to the installation directory (by default, in C:\Program Files (x86)\Barracuda\ArchiveOne). When prompted, choose to merge the directories and replace any existing files (the downloaded folder is structured appropriately to allow this).

5.       Delete all the existing old style log files from the logs directory:

a.       Browse to \\configuration_servername\Add-ins\AOnePol\logs and delete all the .log and .log.old files in this location.

6.       Now enable and restart the ArchiveOne services.
