Barracuda ArchiveOne

ArchiveOne for Files Diagnostic Tools

  • Type: Knowledgebase
  • Date changed: one year ago
Solution #00007639

Scope:ArchiveOne For Files, all versions

Answer:

When diagnosing problems with stubs in ArchiveOne for Files the following commands may be of use:

fsutil reparsepoint query test.txt

This line will determine if a file is a stub (and will display the stub data). Substitute test.txt for the name of the file you wish to check.

more < test.txt:C2CDATA > output.txt

This line will determine if a file has been retrieved (i.e. we’ve archived it before) and output the information from the Alternate Data Stream into a file called 'output.txt'

NOTE: fsutil is a standard Microsoft utility available on all recent desktop and server releases. For more information see: http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/fsutil.mspx?mfr=true
