How can a customer flush the queue of items pending journal archiving?

Solution #00007386

ArchiveOne Enterprise, v7.0-7.1

The queue of items pending journal archiving is held in memory by the ArchiveOne Journal Data Manager Service (AOneItemListJournalService.exe). You may be advised by Barracuda Support to empty the queue of items for diagnostic purposes. The original item in the Journal mailbox in Exchange will not be affected; it will simply be reloaded into the archiving queue next time the Journal policy runs.

To do this, on the Archive Server:
  1. Stop any currently running Journal archiving policies from the ArchiveOne Admin console:
    - Right-click the Policies node and select View Status.
    - On the Journal tab, click ?stop? on the first and/or second phases if running.
  2. Open the Microsoft Services console (services.msc).
  3. Change the startup type to ?Disabled? and then stop the ArchiveOne Journal Data Manager Service.
  4. Browse to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Barracuda\ArchiveOne\JournalServer\AOnePol_DataManager.
  5. Delete the file JournalDataManagerRestart.7.0.dat
  6. Back in the Microsoft Services console, set the service Startup type back to ?Manual? and now start the ArchiveOne Journal Data Manager Service again.
The queue of items pending archiving will now be empty.
