How can I archive a journal mailbox that is no longer active?

Solution #00007407

ArchiveOne Enterprise, v6.6 or later

With ArchiveOne v6.6 a new way of discovering journal mailboxes has been introduced. The system now queries Exchange for Journal rules and gathers the list of mailboxes targeted by the journal rules. If you want to archive a journal mailbox that is no longer active and currently does not have a journal rule in Exchange, you will need to create a new disabled rule using that mailbox as a target. Once the rule has been created and replicated the ArchiveOne system will see the mailbox as a valid journal mailbox for archiving. For more information on enabling/disabling journal rules, see the Microsoft TechNet article: Enable or Disable a Journal Rule
