How can I enable MSI logging for the ArchiveOne Client installation?

When troubleshooting installation or uninstallation issues for the ArchiveOne Quick Link Client or Laptop Client, you may need to enable MSI logging.


To run the MSI with logging:

1. Open a command prompt and type the command:

msiexec /i "PathToMSI" /l*v "PathToLogs"

where PathToMSI is the full folder path to the .MSI file, and PathToLogs is the full folder path for where to write out the log file.

e.g. msiexec /i "C:\Installers\ArchiveOne Quick Link Client.msi" /l*v "D:\Logs\QLCinstall.log"

2. Execute the command and the installation log will be written to the specified directory.

You can open the log file in a text editor, such as Notepad, to examine it for errors.
