Scope:
ArchiveOne Enterprise, all versions
Answer:
SYMPTOMS
When running an archive search, not expected matches are returned in the results. Looking at the ArchiveOne service trace, you see the following:
04 12:07:09 @DCOM0794b950 ValidateMasterFile - Starting to validate 'c:\repositories\Year_2015\index\MasterFile.a1i'
04 12:07:09 @DCOM0794b950 Master appears to be valid, containing 1 partitions
04 12:07:09 @DCOM0794b950 CRepositoryCriteria::GetPartitionFiles found file 'c:\repositories\Year_2015\index\1\A1-2012R2-2_P150604114036_0000.a1i' is referred to in master file 'MasterFile.a1i' but does NOT exist on disk - this will be skipped
ROOT CAUSE
The index is missing a file.
RESOLUTION
The missing file is identified in the log file in the line, e.g. A1-2012R2-2_P150604114036_0000.a1i
04 12:07:09 @DCOM0794b950 CRepositoryCriteria::GetPartitionFiles found file 'c:\repositories\Year_2015\index\1\A1-2012R2-2_P150604114036_0000.a1i' is referred to in master file 'MasterFile.a1i' but does NOT exist on disk - this will be skipped
If the file cannot be located on local storage (if the repository is not correctly configured you may find the missing file is located elsewhere on disk), then you should restore the required file from backup.
