OVERVIEW
This article explains how to migrate the ArchiveOne Enterprise (Compliance) software installation to a new server.
Please note that changing the location of the Add-ins share will require a new license key for ArchiveOne Enterprise (Compliance) to reflect the name of the server hosting the Add-ins share, i.e., the Configuration Server. You should make a request for a new license key prior to performing the steps outlined in this article.

HOW TO STEPS:
To install ArchiveOne on a new Archive server:

1. You will need to note your existing configuration prior to uninstalling so you can re-enter these details during the installation on the new Archive server: HOWTO: Determine the current ArchiveOne Enterprise (Compliance) configuration.

2. On the old Archive server, stop and disable the ArchiveOne services.

1. Open the Microsoft Services Console (services.msc).

2. Stop and disable the 'ArchiveOne Enterprise (Compliance) Service'.

3. Stop and disable the 'ArchiveOne Enterprise (Compliance) Monitor Service'.Install ArchiveOne on the new Archive server.

1. If you are not running the latest version of ArchiveOne Enterprise (Compliance), you can take this opportunity to upgrade. Please contact your C2C Support Representative to obtain the installer for the latest version.

2. Run the installer on the new Archive server: see 
HOWTO: Install ArchiveOne Enterprise (Compliance).

1. Use the same configuration information as noted in Step 1, except specify the Configuration Server as 'the Local Machine' to create a new Add-ins share locally on the new Archive server. You can then move the Add-ins share from the old Archive server to the new Archive server as in step 4.Once ArchiveOne has been installed on the new server, you will need to move the Add-ins share to the new server:

1. On the new Archive server, open the Microsoft Services Console (services.msc).

2. Stop and disable the 'ArchiveOne Enterprise (Compliance) Service'.

3. Stop and disable the 'ArchiveOne Enterprise (Compliance) Monitor Service'.

4. Rename '\\NEWARCHIVESERVER\Add-ins\AOneCmpl' to '\\NEWARCHIVESERVER\Add-ins\AOneCmpl_NewInstall'
where 'NEWARCHIVESERVER' is the NETBIOS name of the new Archive server.

5. Copy '\\OLDARCHIVESERVER\Add-ins\AOneCmpl' to '\\NEWARCHIVESERVER\Add-ins'
where 'OLDARCHIVESERVER' is the NETBIOS name of the old Archive server, and 'NEWARCHIVESERVER' is the NETBIOS name of the new Archive server.

6. Open '\\NewArchiveServer\Add-ins\AOneCmpl' and rename 'AFSettings.C2C' to 'AFSettings.C2C.OLD'.

7. Copy '\\NEWARCHIVESERVER\Add-ins\AOneCmpl_NewInstall\AFSettings.C2C' to '\\NEWARCHIVESERVER\Add-ins\AOneCmpl'
where 'NEWARCHIVESERVER' is the NETBIOS name of the new Archive server.

8. Open the Microsoft Services Console (services.msc).

9. Enable and start the 'ArchiveOne Enterprise (Compliance) Service'.

10. Enable and start the 'ArchiveOne Enterprise (Compliance) Monitor Service'.Apply your new licence to reflect the change in Configuration Server name.

1. On the new Archive server, open the ArchiveOne Admin console.

2. Right-click the 'Status' node and select 'Configure...'.

3. On the 'License' tab, click 'Review or change license key'.

4. Enter your new licence key and click 'Test and install license'.

5. Click 'OK' on the licence confirmation message and click 'Done' to close the configuration window.You will now need to review and confirm the System Configuration.

1. On the new Archive server, open the ArchiveOne Admin console.

2. Right-click the 'Status' node and select 'Run System Configuration Wizard...'.

3. Run through the System Configuration Wizard, ensuring that all references to the old Archive server have been removed and the configuration settings are correct.Test the System functionality to ensure correct operation. It 
is suggested you:

1. Run a System Health report and review any warnings or failures.

2. Run immediate archiving and confirm it completes successfully.

Once you are satisfied the new Archive server is functioning correctly, you can uninstall ArchiveOne from the old Archive server.
