All Barracuda Backup Servers, all firmware versions.
There are several reasons why data files may not be getting backed up.
- The admin user does not have permissions to the directories or files that are set to be backed up. To solve this issue the network folder permissions should be modified to allow read access to the directory or file share.
- There are exclusion rules in place that do not allow specific file types to be backed up. To solve this issue modify the exclusion rule by a) specifying a more granular expression term that describes what to exclude or b) remove specific servers, shares or directory paths that the exclusion rule is applied to.
- The data to be backed up is in use or the backup server can not obtain a read lock on a file it is attempting to backup. A read lock allows concurrent read access on a file that is open or otherwise in use.
