Barracuda Backup

How do I start an immediate backup using the Barracuda Backup Service?

  • Type: Knowledgebase
  • Date changed: 5 years ago

Solution #00003891

Scope:
All Barracuda Backup Servers, all firmware versions.

Answer:

The Settings > Backup Schedules page displays a list of all currently set backup schedules. A default backup schedule runs daily at 8:00 PM, Local Time, and is applied to all servers or shares that do not have custom schedules applied to them. If the server or share you wish to backup uses the default schedule, an immediate backup option is not available.

Starting an Immediate Backup

  1. Open the Settings > Backup Schedules page of the Barracuda Backup Web interface.
  2. Select the desired schedule and then click on the corresponding Run Backup Now button.
  3. A message is displayed stating "A backup has been started on the Backup Server. You should see a new Offsite backup report listed under the Reports tab."
