Scope:
This solution applies to all Barracuda Backup Servers, firmware version 3.0 and higher.Answer:
Microsoft Hyper-V, formerly known as Windows Server Virtualization, is a hypervisor-based virtualization system for x86-64 systems. Utilizing the Barracuda Backup Agent, the Backup Service is able to restore these virtual machines to an alternate server using the following method:

Install the Barracuda Backup Agent on to the target Windows environment.
- If needed, see Solution 3983 for more information on installing the Agent.
- Navigate to Restore > Restore Browser in the web interface and select the the specific virtual machine you would like to restore.
- Select the specific revision of the VM (available per retention policy) and click the "Restore" link.
- In the pop-up window, select either an existing server listed in the current backup selection, or specify an IP address or FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) and click Restore.
- The data will restore to the exact file path it was backed up from.
