Answer:
Microsoft Hyper-V, formerly known as Windows Server Virtualization, is a hypervisor-based virtualization system for x86-64 systems. Utilizing the Barracuda Backup Agent, the Backup Service is able to restore these virtual machines to an alternate server using the following method:
  1. Install the Barracuda Backup Agent on to the target Windows environment.
    • If needed, see Solution 3983 for more information on installing the Agent.
  2. Navigate to Restore > Restore Browser in the web interface and select the the specific virtual machine you would like to restore.
  3. Select the specific revision of the VM (available per retention policy) and click the "Restore" link.
  4. In the pop-up window, select either an existing server listed in the current backup selection, or specify an IP address or FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) and click Restore.
    • The data will restore to the exact file path it was backed up from.
