Appplies to all Barracuda Web Filters and Web Application Firewalls, all firmware versions.
Answer:
If there is no link light on the network port of the Barracuda Webfilter, and you've connected the other end of the cable to another machine (like a firewall, switch, or a router), make sure you are either:
- Using a straight through Ethernet cable, and attaching it to the firewall's, switch's, or router's uplink port.
- Using a crossover Ethernet cable, and attaching it to a standard port on the firewall, swtich, or router.
