Why won't my Barracuda Networks 8x0 or 9x0 models boot after losing power?

This solution applies to Barracuda Networks 8x0 and 9x0 product models.

This problem is related to an immediate an unexpected loss of power to the Barracuda unit. When there is an immediate loss of power, the Barracuda Networks product may occasionally enter a state that requires a hard reset.

An immediate workaround to this issue can be implemented with the assistance of Barracuda Networks Technical Support.
