All Barracuda SSL VPNs, all firmware versions.
There are two interfaces on your Barracuda SSL VPN: the Appliance Web Interface and the SSL VPN Web interface. The differences are outlined below:
- Appliance Web Interface: The appliance web interface runs by default on ports 8000 for HTTP and port 8443 for HTTPS. The appliance interface contains administrative tools for managing the appliance, including network session monitoring, IP configuration, Energize Updates, and firmware upgrades. The administrative user for this interface is named admin and the default password is admin. To access the appliance interface using the default settings, enter the IP or hostname of your Barracuda SSL VPN in the address bar of your web browser, and append either port 8000 or port 8443.
- Example: https://sslvpn.domain.com:8443/
- SSL VPN Web Interface: The SSL VPN web interface runs by default on ports 80 for HTTP and port 443 for HTTPS, the industry standard defaults. However, HTTP connections over port 80 merely redirect to HTTPS over port 443. The SSL VPN web interface is the user-facing interface, and contains all of the policies, resources, and user account information. This interface is where an administrator, using the super user account ssladmin (default password ssladmin), can administer users, resources, authentication schemes, and anything related to the user-facing functionality of the device. To access the SSL VPN web interface using the default settings, enter the IP or hostname of your Barracuda SSL VPN, preceded by the appropriate protocol you wish to use (in the example, https:// is used).
