Barracuda Networks offers optional field-replaceable network modules for the following models:

Only combinations in this list are supported. Network modules must be used with the appropriate firewall model.

Optional network module providing 8x 1GbE Fiber SFP (Intel I350-AM4) Ethernet ports. Available for Barracuda CloudGen Firewall models F600 Revision D, F800 Revision D, F900 Revision C, and F1000 Revision B.

Barracuda Network Module ET075 (8x 1GbE Copper RJ45)

Optional network module providing 8x 1GbE RJ45 (Intel I350-AM4) Ethernet ports. Available for Barracuda CloudGen Firewall models F800 Revision D, F900 Revision C, and F1000 Revision B.

Barracuda Network Module ET076 (4x 10GbE Fiber SFP+)

Optional network module providing 4x 10GbE Fiber SFP+ (Intel X710) Ethernet ports. Available for Barracuda CloudGen Firewall models F800 Revision D and F900 Revision C.

Barracuda Network Module M808 (4x 10GbE Fiber SFP+)

Optional network module providing 4x 10 GbE optical fiber ports for standard SFP+ type transceivers (compatible with SR and LR transceivers). Available for Barracuda CloudGen Firewall models F800 Revision C and F900 Revision B.

Barracuda Network Module M809 (2x40 GbE Fiber QSFP+)

Optional network module providing 2x40 GbE optical fiber ports for standard QSFP+ type transceivers (compatible with SR and LR transceivers). Available for Barracuda CloudGen Firewall model F900 Revision B.

Transceiver Information

Barracuda Networks tests with the same list of transceivers as Intel’s ixgbe drivers. Please find the Intel driver test list here: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005688/network-and-i-o/ethernet-products.html. More compatible transceivers can be found in Intel’s compatibility list: https://compatibleproducts.intel.com/ProductDetails?prodSearch=True&searchTerm=X710#. To collect transceiver modules information on the CloudGen Firewall, log into the SSH terminal and use the command: ethtool --module-info <iface>

DSL SFP Modems

F400C 10G SFP+ fiber modules use the same Intel X710 chip. However, the 10G NIC modules cannot be exchanged on Barracuda CloudGen Firewall model F400C.
