How to Configure an SSH Resource for SSL VPN

After you configure the SSL VPN service, you can create SSH resources for it.

  1. Go to CONFIGURATION > Configuration Tree > Box > Virtual Servers > your virtual server > Assigned Services > VPN-Service > SSL-VPN.
  2. In the left menu, select Application Tunneling.
  3. Click Lock.
  4. In the Service Configuration table, add an entry for each resource. For each entry, you can specify the following settings:

    SettingDescription
    NameThe name for the resource. For example, SSH01
    Visible NameThe name that is displayed in the SSL Portal for the resource. For example, DMZ WebServer SSH
    Application Server IPThe IP address. For example, 172.25.1.2
    Application ProtocolFrom this list, select SSH.
    Tunnel Client ApplicationFrom this list, select yes.
    Client Loopback TCP PortThe port number For example, 2222

    If the integrated Java applet of the SSL VPN service should not be used, you can select yes from the Tunnel Client Application list and define a local loopback port.

  5. Click OK.
  6. Click Send Changes and Activate
