  • Last updated on

The following article section provides step-by-step information on how to configure the Barracuda NextGen Firewall F-Series mail gateway service. To enable the mail gateway service you already need to have a server installed on your Barracuda NextGen Firewall F-Series box. To install the Barracuda NextGen Firewall F-Series mail gateway service, follow the steps described in the article: How to Configure Services. The mail gateway service generates three log files, which can be viewed in the Logs interface:

  • servicename – This file contains the general logging data of the mail gateway service.
  • pop3 – This file belongs to the POP3 scanner and is only generated when POP3 scanning is set to enabled.
  • qspool – This file records transactions processed between the configuration and monitoring areas of the mail gateway service and the graphical administration tool Barracuda NextGen Admin.
