How to Enable IPv6

  • Last updated on

By default, IPv6 is disabled on the CloudGen Firewall. After enabling IPv6, you must activate the new network configuration and reboot the firewall.

Step 1. Enable IPv6

  1. Go to CONFIGURATION > Configuration Tree > Box > Network.
  2. Click Lock.
  3. In the IP Version section, select the Enable IPv6 check box.

  4. Click Send Changes and Activate.

Step 2. Activate the Network Changes and Reboot

  1. Go to CONTROL > Box.

  2. In the left menu, expand the Network section and click Activate new network configuration.

  3. Click Activate now.

  4. In the left menu, expand Operating System and click Reboot Box.

You can now configure and use IPv6 on your CloudGen Firewall or Control Center.

When enabling IPv6 in AWS or Azure, you must also add an entry to the IPv6 Stateless Configuration for the network interface. The default route is provided as part of the stateless configuration address space, not the VNET address space. For information on how to configure IPv6 for an interface, see Step 7 in How to Configure IPv6 for CloudGen Firewalls in AWS.
