Why does the ?Activation State? show ?Could not connect to HTTP proxy??

Scope:
 NG Firewall, all versions


Answer: 

NG-admin by default has the option to ?Use Proxy Setting from Internet Explorer? ? We can either disable this option or confirm that Internet Explorer has the correct Proxy settings.

  1. Click on the NG-admin ?Main menu? button, and select ?Settings?

  2. Expand the ?Barracuda Activation? menu

  3. Clear the check box for ?Proxy Settings? ? ?Use Proxy Settings from Internet Explorer?

  4. Close the ?Settings? Menu and restart NG-admin

  5. Log back in, go back to the ?Status? tab, and click the ?Activation State? link.
