How to Add a Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup Service as a Reseller

Use the steps in this article to activate a new Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup Service or convert a trial to a paid subscription on behalf of a client. Note that if you are converting a trial to a paid subscription, the configuration and data backed up during the trial period is maintained.

Add New Client Service

  1. Go to http://login.barracuda.com, and log in.
  2. Click Backup in the left pane, and go to Admin > Activate Backup Product.
  3. Enter the Serial number and Linking code, and click Yes, it is for my client:

  4. Click Next. The wizard launches. In the Client Info page:
    • If there are no existing clients on your account, enter the client details in the associated fields, and click Continue.
    • If this device is for an existing client, click Select to the right of the client name.
    • If this device is for a new client, click Add new, and enter the client details in the associated fields, and click Continue.

      If you clicked Add new and want to return to the Client Info list of clients, click Select another client, and click Select to the right of the client name.

  5. In the Service Info page, enter a Service Name to represent the Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup service.

  6. From the Time Zone drop-down menu, select the time zone for the service.

  7. Enter the geographical location of the service in the provided fields.

  8. If a trial account exists, the Activation Type section displays. Select the type of activation:

    • Convert trial

    • Activate as a new service

  9. In the Preferences section, select all that apply:

    • Client will receive email alerts from this Backup service
    • Client will have administrative access to this Backup service
  10. Click Continue.

  11. The Terms of Service page displays. Read the Terms and Conditions, and click I have read and agree to complete the linking process:

  12. Click Done .

  13. Once your service is linked, click Go to Dashboard.

Add New Reseller Service

  1. Go to http://login.barracuda.com, and log in.
  2. Click Backup in the left pane, and go to Admin > Activate Backup Product.
  3. Enter the Serial number and Linking code, and select No, it is for my company:

  4. Click Next.
  5. The wizard launches. The Client Info page displays. Enter your enter your contact information in the associated fields:

  6. Click Continue.

  7. In the Service Info page, enter a Service Name to represent the Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Service.

  8. From the Time Zone drop-down menu, select the time zone for the service.

  9. Enter the geographical location of the service in the provided fields.

  10. If you have a trial account, the Activation Type section displays. Select the type of activation:

    • Convert trial

    • Activate as a new service

  11. Click Continue.

  12. The Terms of Service page displays. Read the Terms and Conditions, and click I have read and agree to complete the linking process. Click Done.

  13. Once your device is linked, click Go to Dashboard.
