Use the Settings page to connect to Office 365 data sources, add classifiers, manage users and email notifications, set privacy options, and view the audit log.

Connectors

View, authorize, or reauthorize your Office 365 data sources. 

Select Authorize or Reauthorize for each Office 365 data source you want to connect Data Inspector to. You can scan an entire Office 365 tenant or an individual OneDrive account. Note that selecting an entire tenant will require Office 365 global administrator privileges. You will be prompted to enter your Office 365 administrator account login information. Click Accept to authorize Data Inspector to access your details.

Classifiers

Add keyword classifiers to search for within a given file. These keyword classifiers are given a yellow classification label on the Cases page.

Add Classifier

Click Add Classifier. Select the type of keyword classifier you want to create:

  • Keyword Classifier – Specify keywords to search for. 
    1. Toggle to Enable the keyword classifier at the top right corner.
    2. Enter a Classifier NameLabel Name, and Keywords (each on a separate line)
    3. Toggle on or off the Case Sensitivity and Partial Matching options. Both are set to Off by default.
    4. Click Save.

  • Keyword File Classifier – Upload a file with a list of keyword classifiers, each on a separate line.
    1. Toggle to Enable the keyword classifier at the top right corner.
    2. Enter a Classifier Name and Label Name.
    3. Upload a file with the list of keyword classifiers.
    4. Toggle on or off the Case Sensitivity and Partial Matching options. Both are set to Off by default.
    5. Click Save.

Edit a Classifier

Click Edit next to the keyword classifier you want to change. When you are done editing the details, click Save.

Remove a Classifier

Click the trash icon next to the keyword classifier you want to remove. Select Yes to delete the classifier.

Users

By default, the users list is automatically populated with your Office 365 users.

Assign or Edit a User

Click Edit next to the user you want to assign or change the role for. Click Choose a Role on the right, select a role for the user, and click Add. Click Close to return to the Users page.

Select from the following user roles:

  • Full Admin – Full access to Data Inspector, including the Settings page.
  • Reviewer – Access is limited to the Cases page with access to preview files.
  • Limited Reviewer– Access is limited to viewing the Cases page only, preview access is not available.

Note that a user not assigned a role is treated as an end user of their own Office 365 account.

Remove a User

Click Edit next to the user you want to change the role for. Click Remove next to the role you want to delete. Click Close to return to the Users page.

Search for a User

To search for a user, select Search by name or Search by email, type in a search term, and click Search to display the results.

Notifications

Set email notifications for administrators and end users.

To send a daily summary email to all administrators, toggle on Data Inspector is sending email digests.

To send a daily summary email to a custom recipient list, toggle on Enable to send admin digest emails to a custom recipient list. Enter an email address. If there is more than one email address, enter one on each line. Note that this list can also include reviewers, limited reviewers, and end users.

To send a daily summary email to end users, toggle on Data Inspector is sending alerts to the end users.

Once you are done selecting your preferences, click Save.

Data

See the region where Data Inspector is storing your data and manage your consent and cookie privacy settings. 

Personal Information Consent

Click Change Consent to Accept or Decline collecting your name and email address for the purpose of providing product support and communicating product news and announcements. For more information, see Barracuda Trust Center.

Cookie Options

Click Open Cookie Settings to modify your cookie settings and update your cookies preferences.

Audit Log

The Audit Log displays a report of all activities in Data Inspector by date, category, summary, and user. Logged activities include changes to settings such as modifying user roles and adding/deleting classifier assignments, viewing the reports and previews, and more.

Click Back or Forward at the bottom to view another page. Click Reset Page to view the latest log activities.
