Why is my QMAIL server having trouble performing recipient verification over SMTP with my Email Security Gateway?
Scope:
All Email Security Gateways used in conjunction with a QMAIL server, all firmware versions.
Answer:
By default the QMAIL email server software will not validate recipients during the SMTP transaction. However, there is a patch available so that QMAIL can return a 550 error for invalid recipients during the SMTP transaction.
