This solution applies to all Email Security Gateways and all firmware versions. It assumes that the sender has been blacklisted on the Block/Accept > Email Sender Block/Accept page.
The Barracuda will not block a blacklisted email sender if they have been whitelisted. Check the message log to make sure that the message allowed because it was whitelisted. If the message doesn't show up as whitelisted, make sure that the sender address on the blacklist is actually sending the message. Because the from address listed in the headers of emails is not the from address the Barracuda sees when accepting the message (and not the from address displayed in the Message Log), blocking the from address that appears in the headers (and most mail clients) will not effectively blacklist that sender.
