How do I reset the Bayesian database on the Email Security Gateway?

Scope:
This applies to all Email Security Gateways, firmware versions 3.3 and above.

Answer:
To reset the global Bayesian database on the Email Security Gateway, follow these steps:
  1. Navigate to the Basic > Bayesian/Intent page of the Email Security Gateway's web interface.
  2. Click the Reset button next to the Reset Global Bayesian Database option.
To reset a specific user's Bayesian database, follow these steps:
  1. Navigate to the Users > Account View page of the Email Security Gateway's web interface.
  2. Click the Edit Account link for the user account whose Bayesian database you would like to reset.
  3. In the new window that appears, navigate to the Preferences > Spam Settings page.
  4. Click the Reset button next to the Reset Bayesian Database option.
For firmware versions 3.5.11 and above, to reset all Bayesian databases at once, follow these steps:
  1. Navigate to the Basic > Bayesian/Intent page of the Email Security Gateway's web interface.
  2. Click the Reset button next to the Reset All Bayesian Databases option.
Additional Notes:
A GUI option is currently unavailable to reset all user Bayesian databases while leaving the global Bayesian database populated. If you need to do this, please contact Barracuda Technical Support for assistance.
