Can the Barracuda Spam Firewall use regular expressions that are case sensitive?

  • Type: Knowledgebase
  • Date changed: 2 years ago
Solution #00001724

Scope:
This applies to all Barracuda Spam Firewall firmwares 3.3.x and above.

Answer:
All matches are case-insensitive. All regular expressions are converted to lower-case before use, as is the text against which it is being matched. For this reason, none of the capital letter character classes need be used.
