Why can't I view the body of allowed messages in the Email Security Gateway's message log?

Scope:
All Email Security Gateways, all firmware versions.

Answer:
If you try to view a message that has been allowed and delivered and you are met with a message that says something like

Message body hidden due to privacy controls.

...then the Show message body in Message Log option must be set to No. To re-enable this option, go to the Basic > Administration page of the Email Security Gateway's web interface, scroll down to the Message Log Privacy heading, change the Show message body in Message Log option from No to Yes, and click Save Changes. You should now be able to view the body of all allowed messages in the message log.
