How can I prevent valid Chinese language email from being marked as spam on my Email Security Gateway?

Solution #00002958

Scope:
All Email Security Gateways, all firmware versions.

Answer:
If you receive large amounts of valid Chinese language email, you can enable Chinese language spam scanning on the Advanced > Regional Settings page of the Email Security Gateway's web interface. To do this, set the Chinese Language Spam Rules option to Yes.

As of firmware 5.x it is located under Block/Accept -> Regional Settings

Additional Notes:
If you need to whitelist a specific domain you have business with and their IP address is known, you can add any IP addresses or networks to the local IP whitelist on the Block/Accept > IP Block/Accept page. This method is better than whitelisting an entire domain because whitelisting a domain would allow spammers to use a fake sender domain and bypass the Barracuda's spam filtering altogether.
