Barracuda Email Security Gateway

Recently, on my Barracuda Spam Firewall Web UI syslog data I am seeing an additional log being passed, what does this line mean?

  • Type: Knowledgebase
  • Date changed: 2 years ago

Solution #00004452

Scope:
All Barracuda Spam Firewalls, all firmware versions.

Answer:

During Energize Updates requests, the Barracuda Spam Firewall can report diagnostic information back to Barracuda Central, including CPU temperature, fan speed, RAID array status and other health-related statistics.  Barracuda Central recently enabled an internal
configuration setting for on-box diagnostic routines to measure Web interface performance for units in the field.

The monitoring activity is shown in the Web Syslog Output in the form of:

Date/ Time gateway web: [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (IP address)] LOGIN (admin)
