How do I configure Google Apps for inbound spam scanning?

Google Apps has the ability for inbound mail to be routed from a Barracuda Spam and Virus Firewall, just like it has the ability to accept mail from any mail server on the internet. 

During the setup process while one is configuring Gmail select the ?Another server? option. To do this follow the below steps

  1. Log in to the Google Apps Dashboard
  2. Select Setup
  3. Select Gmail > Setup Gmail
  4. In the right hand panel select the 'Another server' radio button.
On the next screen displayed you will see a destination server listed in step 2. 


On the Email Security Gateway you need to add that destination server to the Destination Server field under

IP Configuration > Destination mail Server TCP/IP Configuration
