  • Last updated on

This functionality is available only with Barracuda Email Protection Email Protection Plan and Email Protection Plan plans. To upgrade to one of these plans, contact your Barracuda Networks Sales Representative.

To specify Automated Workflows default settings:

  1. Log into Incident Response

  2. From the menu, select Settings

  3. On the Settings page, select the Automated Workflows tab.

  4. For automated workflows with email notifications: If you want to use the same Security Team Email you specified in Manual Remediation settings, select Yes. Otherwise, select No and enter a new Security Team Email for a single person or distribution list.

  5. For automated workflows with Slack notification: To receive Slack notifications, you must specify the webhook for Slack. For more information on how to set up incoming webhooks, see Setting up Incoming Webhooks for Slack.

  6. For automated workflows with Microsoft Teams notification: To receive Microsoft Teams notifications, you must specify the webhook for Teams. Follow the below steps or see Browse and add workflows in Microsoft Teams for more information.

    1. Log into Microsoft Teams.

    2. Open the dropdown menu for the chat room where you would like the Automated Workflow notifications to post.

    3. Select Workflows.

    4. From the list that opens, select Post to a channel when a webhook request is received.

    5. Microsoft will verify if your account has the proper permissions to proceed. If not, a global admin may need to complete the Microsoft Workflow.

      • At this point, if desired, you can change the name of the workflow.

    6. Click Next. You should see Workflow added successfully!

    7. The URL for the webhook is displayed. Copy it.

    8. Open Barracuda Incident Response and navigate to Settings > Automated workflows.

    9. Past the URL you copied into the MS Teams webhook field.

Microsoft Teams webhooks created before August 15, 2024 will need to be replaced with a newer, more secure, connection. You can create the new webhook with the above steps. See Retirement of Office 365 connectors within Microsoft Teams for more information.
