Solution #000006015

Scope:
Barracuda Link Balancer 330 and above. Firmware version 2.4 and above

Answer:
To monitor real-time traffic throughput on your Barracuda Link Balancer, go to the BASIC > Live Report page.

This page displays traffic throughput information in real-time.

Dashboard:

The Dashboard is the main display for the live traffic throughput. By default, it shows all traffic passing the WAN ports in both directions. However, you have two options to filter the displayed information:

Link ? Either choose All or select a specific WAN link.

Direction ? You may choose Both, Inbound or Outbound.

Time ? Select whether to display the traffic throughput from the Last 1min (default), Last 5min or Last 10min.

Click Apply Filter after modifying the filter settings.

Top Ten Users:

Limit the displayed real-time data to the top ten IP addresses. By default, data reflecting all WAN ports within the last 30 seconds will be displayed. You have two options to filter the data:

Link ? Select All or a specific WAN link.

Time ? Choose from Last 30sec, Last 1min or Last 5min.

Click Apply Filter after modifying the filter settings.

Note: In transparent mode, all traffic comes from the firewall's IP address. Therefore, this diagram has no informative value in this mode.

Top Ten Applications:

Limit the displayed real-time data to the top ten applications.

Note:

By Default, only the following applications are displayed in the Top Ten Application diagram:

HTTP

FTP

SSH

Telnet

SIP

Skype

BitTorrent

Kazaa

AIM

MSN Messenger

More applications are known and available on the Policy > Bandwidth Mgmt page in the Quality of Service section.
