Barracuda Load Balancer

Configuring Multi-Gigabit Capacity

  • Last updated on

This article refers to firmware 4.2 and higher running on the Barracuda Load Balancer model 640 that include PORT1 through PORT10.

You can achieve multi-gigabit capacity on both the service and server side. Use the following steps to configure the interface on both the service and server:

  • Create bond0 with [ PORT1 PORT2 PORT3 PORT4 PORT5 ] in the Link Bonding section on the ADVANCED > Advanced Networking page.
  • Create bond1 with [ PORT6 PORT7 PORT8 PORT9 PORT10 ] in the Link Bonding section on the ADVANCED > Advanced Networking page.
  • Configure bond0 Interface Network IP in the Custom Virtual Interfaces section on the ADVANCED > Advanced Networking page.
  • Configure bond1 Interface Network IP in the Custom Virtual Interfaces section on the ADVANCED > Advanced Networking page.
  • Create a service on the bond0 Interface on the BASIC > Services page.

You can include the WAN Port as part of a service bond interface; Barracuda Networks recommends that you create the bond interface with multiples of 2.
