Barracuda Load Balancer ADC

Why can I only access my Load Balanced service externally but not from my internal network?

Solution #00004168

Scope:
All Barracuda Load Balancer models, all firmware versions

Answer:
The Barracuda Load Balancer is not a firewall. If there are no configured Access rules (Inbound Firewall Rules) for your services, the Load Balancer will not block any access to the configured services. If you are able to access a configured service Virtual IP from one network location (internal or external) but not from a another network location (internal or external), please check the local network routing configurations. You may need to check access rules on your local network firewall, hostfile entries that may prevent access to the service, and or local DNS entries that may not resolve correctly.
