On the Advanced Software Management Patch Report and Device Report pages, you can use Patch Now to apply needed patches immediately.
To use Patch Now, go to the Advanced Software Management Patch Report page or Device Report page, select the devices that need patching, then click Patch Now. The process of updating the devices begins immediately.
For Patch Now to apply patches, the Onsite Manager or Device Manager that manages the device must be communicating properly. Patch Now does not re-try failed patches.
To patch third party applications with Patch Now
- In Service Center, click Advanced Software Management > Reports, then click one of the following:
- Patch Report
- Device Report
- Optionally, in the Advanced Filtering area, select your filters, then click Filter.
- Do one of the following:
- On the Patch Report page, select the check boxes of the patches to apply.
- On the Device Report page, select the check boxes of the devices to apply patches to.
- Click Patch Now.
