Scanning a Device using Microsoft Defender

Scan Now is available for devices that:

  • are WMI-enabled,
  • are up,
  • have Microsoft Defender enabled, and
  • have a Microsoft Defender policy applied to them.
  1. In Service Center, click Status > Devices.
  2. Click the name of a device that has a Microsoft Defender policy applied.
  3. In the right navigation menu, click Microsoft Defender AV.
  4. Click Scan Now.
    When the scan begins, a status message is displayed at the top of the page. Click the X to close this message.
