Adding a Monitor for Avast Antivirus

  • Last updated on

There are 5 monitors associated with Avast Antivirus in Barracuda RMM:

  • Avast Antivirus - Device Needs Restart
  • Avast Antivirus - Protection Disabled
  • Avast Antivirus - Threat Detected
  • Avast Antivirus - Virus Definition Out-Of-Date
  • Avast Antivirus - Virus Scan Overdue

These monitors are also included in the Barracuda RMM Antivirus monitoring policy, which is used in conjunction with the Antivirus policies to monitor Avast Antivirus at your customer sites. If you choose to create your own monitoring policy for Avast Antivirus, you must add these monitors.

Prior to Barracuda RMM 12 SP1, the Avast Antivirus – Virus Definition Out-Of-Date Monitor alerted if the virus definition was out of date for 52 hours. Due to changes in the way Avast updates antivirus, this monitor now alerts if the virus definition is out of date for 7 days.
