Adding an Advanced Software Management policy to a Service

In order to use Advanced Software Management to apply updates, you must purchase an additional license. Contact your Barracuda sales representative.

When you apply Advanced Software Management policies to devices using automatic application rules, those devices are not under Advanced Software Management until the policy is added to an active Service Plan or a Service in an active Service Plan.

When you apply Advanced Software Management policies to devices or groups manually, you don’t have to add the policy to a Service Plan or Service for the devices and groups to be under Advanced Software Management.
To add an Advanced Software Management policy to a service
  1. In Service Center, click Configuration > Services.
  2. Click the name of a service.
  3. In the Policies area, click Add.
  4. From the list, select the type of policy you want to add, and then click Add.
    A list of policies appears, filtered by the type of policy you selected in the previous step.
  5. Select the check box beside each policy you want to add to the service.
  6. Click OK.
