Barracuda Managed Workplace

Logging In with Multi-Factor Authentication

  • Last updated on

Multi-Factor Authentication provides an additional level of security for your account. By requiring an additional, unique, and individual passcode connected to your account, generated by an authentication app on your mobile device, Barracuda Managed Workplace can be sure that you are the one logging in to your account.
If your Administrator has set up multi-factor authentication on your account, you need two forms of identification to log in to your Barracuda Managed Workplace account:

  • your login credentials
  • a unique passcode generated by an authentication app

Setting up Multi-Factor Authentication Prerequisite

To set up multi-factor authentication on your account, you need a functional multi-factor authentication app on your mobile device.
You can use any TOTP authentication app, but the suggested apps are:

  • Google Authenticator
  • Microsoft Authenticator
  • LastPass
  • Authy

The multi-factor authentication app generates a new, secure passcode on a regular basis. You need to input this passcode on the login page each time you log in to Barracuda Managed Workplace.

Once your multi-factor authentication is set up, you always need your mobile device to generate the passcode before you log in to Barracuda Managed Workplace. You won't be able to generate a passcode using your laptop, desktop, or another mobile device.

Ensure your mobile device's time is set automatically. Devices with their time set manually may not sync properly with Barracuda Managed Workplace, resulting in mismatched passcodes.
