Removing Policies from Devices and Groups

If you remove a policy from a device or group, the ShadowProtect client is removed from the device or group. If the policy is an Infrascale Configuration policy, you will not have access to the backup data.

To remove a monitoring policy from a device or group
  1. In Service Center, click Configuration > Policies > Monitoring.
  2. Click the link of the policy you want to remove.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To remove a monitoring policy from a group, in the Applied Groups area select the check box for the group and click Remove.
    • To remove a monitoring policy from a device, in the Applied Devices area select the check box for the device and click Remove.
To remove a configuration policy from a device or group
  1. In Service Center, click Configuration > Service Modules.
  2. Click the Infrascale link.
  3. Click the link of the configuration policy.
  4. Click the Excluded Devices tab.
  5. Click Add.
  6. In the Filter By box, select an option.
  7. In the box, select an option.
  8. Click Filter.
  9. Click the check box of the device you want to exclude.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Click Close.
