How do I enable journaling for the Barracuda Message Archiver on an IMail server?

Solution #00002528

All Barracuda Message Archivers in use with an IMail server, all firmware versions.

You can set IMail to put a copy of all incoming and all outgoing messages in a specific mailbox. This is confiured in the IMail Administrator > localhost > SMTP > SMTP Security > Copy All Mail area. After you apply the change, stop and restart both the SMTP and the Queue Manager services.

Messages will go to this mailbox directly (without going through the SMTP server). Consequently, you cannot use IMail rules to filter out those messages that you do not want to keep. Also, messages addressed in the BCC field will not be copied.

Once that is done, go to the Mail Sources > Journal Accounts page in the Barracuda Message Archiver's interface and give it the username and password of the copy-all account. All new mail messages should now be recorded by the Barracuda Message Archiver.
