  • Type: Knowledgebase
  • Date changed: 7 months ago
Solution #00003422

Scope:
All Barracuda Message Archivers, all firmware versions.

Answer:
Yes, users can log in to the web interface of Barracuda Message Archiver. When a user logs in, he or she is only able to see his or her own emails. Users can log in using their LDAP/Active Directory credentials, or they can be set up as local users if your organization does not have an LDAP or Active Directory server.

Additional Notes:
For more information on setting up
LDAP/Active Directory integration with the Barracuda Message Archiver, see Solution #00003005. The Barracuda Message also supports Outlook integration beginning with firmware version 1.2 (for more information on Outlook integration, see Solution #00003468).

The Barracuda Message Archiver also supports user roles. Users can be configured to have access to all archived email (an auditor account), or to be able to perform system administration without access to any archived email (an IT administrator account). To set up an auditor account, see Solution #00002622. To set up an IT Admin account, see Solution #00003302.
