Barracuda Message Archiver

What Limitations Are There on Groupwise Connectivity?

  • Type: Knowledgebase
  • Date changed: 2 years ago
Solution #00007595

Scope:
This solution applies to the Barracuda Message Archiver.

Answer:
Folders that contain more than 20,000 items will cause users to be skipped. A retention time of January 1, 1980 is then applied to the customer to ensure that mail is not permanently deleted before the Archiver can download it. This is a limitation of the Groupwise software, and it can be changed on Groupwise itself. Please see Novell's documentation.

To ensure data is not lost, make sure retention is enabled on Groupwise and the firmware of your Barracuda Message Archiver is newer than 3.5
