When you first log into Security Awareness Training, you must reset your password. Scroll down for a video description of these steps.

To reset your password:

  1. Open Security Awareness Training in your browser.
  2. At the bottom of the login screen, click Forgot Password.
  3. On the Forgot your password page, enter your User Name, usually your email address. Click Save.
  4. Check your email inbox for an email with your temporary password. You will use this temporary password twice.
Note: This temporary password will expire. You must create a new password.
  5. Return to the Security Awareness Training login page. Enter your username (your email address) and the temporary password you just received. Then click Continue.
Note: If you are copying and pasting your password, be sure that you do not add a trailing space. For best results, manually enter the temporary password.
  6. Perform the multi-factor authentication (MFA) step, based on the MFA method you selected when you set up your Security Awareness Training account
    • Email or text message – Receive the authentication code. Enter the code in the Multi-Factor Authentication Code page and click Continue.
    • Phone call – Answer the phone call and press the button as instructed to authenticate. No authentication code is required when using a phone call authentication method.
  7. The Password Change page displays automatically.
    1. Enter the temporary password you received in the email in Step 4 above, again taking care that you do not add a trailing space to the password.
    2. Enter a new password two times. Follow the password guidelines. Click Save.
