When you first log into Security Awareness Training, you must reset your password. Scroll down for a video description of these steps.
To reset your password:
- Open Security Awareness Training in your browser.
- At the bottom of the login screen, click Forgot Password.
- On the Forgot your password page, enter your User Name, usually your email address. Click Save.
- Check your email inbox for an email with your temporary password. You will use this temporary password twice.
Note: This temporary password will expire. You must create a new password. - Return to the Security Awareness Training login page. Enter your username (your email address) and the temporary password you just received. Then click Continue.
Note: If you are copying and pasting your password, be sure that you do not add a trailing space. For best results, manually enter the temporary password. - Perform the multi-factor authentication (MFA) step, based on the MFA method you selected when you set up your Security Awareness Training account
- Email or text message – Receive the authentication code. Enter the code in the Multi-Factor Authentication Code page and click Continue.
- Phone call – Answer the phone call and press the button as instructed to authenticate. No authentication code is required when using a phone call authentication method.
- Email or text message – Receive the authentication code. Enter the code in the Multi-Factor Authentication Code page and click Continue.
- The Password Change page displays automatically.
- Enter the temporary password you received in the email in Step 4 above, again taking care that you do not add a trailing space to the password.
- Enter a new password two times. Follow the password guidelines. Click Save.
Password Guidelines
For the security of the system, new passwords must meet the following minimum requirements:- All passwords must be at least 8 characters long.
- All passwords must contain at least one numeric digit 0-9.
- All passwords must contain both upper and lower case letters.
- All passwords must not be common variations of words in a dictionary.
- Passwords may not be reused.
- The maximum length of the password is 100.
- Default settings – You can change these settings in Global Settings.
- Passwords expire every 90 days.
- Passwords for users configured with multi-factor authentication (MFA) do not expire.
- A message appears, confirming that your password has been changed.
You are now ready to use Security Awareness Training.
