During installation, the PST Enterprise installer attempts to automatically enable the IIS features required by PST Enterprise. If this fails, the error 'Installation step "Enable IIS features" failed' displays.
Use the steps in this article to resolve the error.
Step 1. Manually Install the Necessary IIS Features
Go to the article PST Enterprise Preinstallation Test Assistance, and follow the steps in the Internet Information Services section to enable the required IIS features. Now retry the installation. If the same error displays, proceed to Step 2 below.
Step 2. Repair the .NET Framework
To repair ASP.NET, run the Microsoft .NET Framework repair tool on the PST Enterprise server, and then retry the installation. If the same error displays, proceed to Step 3 below.
Step 3. Re-register .NET Framework
To re-register .NET:
- On the PST Enterprise server, open a command prompt and run: %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\aspnet_regiis.exe –i
- Retry the installation. If the error persists, contact Barracuda Networks Technical Support for assistance.
