Barracuda PST Enterprise

How can I know the database and tables created in PST Enterprise?

  • Type: Knowledgebase
  • Date changed: 2 years ago
Solution #00007357

Scope:
PST Enterprise, all versions

Answer:

In a new install of PST Enterprise, where no database already exists the installer code will create the database. The creation is attempted even if the named database already exists (hence DB creator rights are required), but the creation will fail as the database of the same name already exists.

Subsequently when the PST Enterprise website application pool starts up, it will create the database tables if they do not already exist.

Therefore:

*If a user/admin drops the tables in the database, then new (empty) tables are created the next time the application pool starts.

*If a user/admin drops the whole database, then the installer needs to be rerun (or the database created manually).
