How can the customer enable the Mailbox Maintenance option in PST Enterprise?

PST Enterprise caches some of the mailbox information which is determined by the Exchange autodiscover feature for performance purposes. If you make changes to a mailbox, for instance you have migrated the mailbox from Exchange On-premises to Exchange Online or you have recently configured an archive mailbox for the user, you may wish to clear this cached information. This can be done by enabling the Mailbox Maintenance feature on the PST Enterprise administration website.


To enable the Mailbox Maintenance feature on the PST Enterprise Administration website:
  1. On the PST Enterprise server, browse to the 'Web' folder in the installation directory (by default, C:\Program Files (x86)\Barracuda\PSTEnterprise\Web).
  2. Open the web.config file in Notepad.
  3. Find the section:
    <setting name="ShowMailboxMaintenance" serializeAs="String">
  4. Change the value to 'True' so that this section reads:
    <setting name="ShowMailboxMaintenance" serializeAs="String">
  5. Save and close the web.config file.
  6. Log on to the PST Enterprise Administration website and select the Global Configuration tab.
  7. At the bottom of the interface, the 'Update mailbox data' button should now be visible. Click this button to delete the cached mailbox details.

PST Enterprise automatically attempts to use the Exchange autodiscover feature to redetermine these details.
